So David Cameron(sorry to drop the D-bomb) is URGING people to start their own business and ‘realise their dreams’ to boost the economy, create wealth, jobs and decrease the current incredible rate of unemployment. However if an unemployed person like myself who cannot get a job for love nor money wants to start up a business I am told that as soon as I start advertising(not as soon as I start making money) I MUST sign off. Has anyone heard of business that starts making money immediately? Let alone in the first year or two?! Obviously various grants are available but these, quite rightly, must be used on the business.
So If I want to start a business I will be homeless and starving next month. GOOD YIN CAMERON. That is a really attractive offer for me!
I’m not saying ‘pay me a wage to start my own business’ I’m saying let me continue to sign on until I find a part time job to support myself!
After six months of being unemployed they then start to push people into self employment, people who perhaps have no interest in it at all and people who will not succeed because they never wanted to be in that position in the first place. These people are helped out financially. But after 2 months I can’t get a look in, even if I can prove i’m serious, deliver a sound business plan etc.
I’m sick of Cameron spouting shite about what we SHOULD all be doing and then making it impossible to actually do it.
